Terms of service

Last updated: 10 July 2026

1 · The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Adzmonster (“Adzmonster”, “we”, “us”), governing your use of adzmonster.com and the services offered on it (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms and our privacy policy.

Adzmonster is a classified advertising service. Sellers pay to publish an ad, the ad carries the contact details that seller chose to publish, and anyone interested contacts them directly. We review ads before they appear and remove ads that break these terms. We are not a party to anything that follows: we carry no messages, hold no money or goods, arrange no introductions, and take no share of what anyone sells.

2 · Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts to use the Service. Businesses may use the Service (a Dealer plan exists for exactly that), provided the person operating the account has authority to bind the business.

We may decline or remove any account or ad that does not meet these requirements, at any time.

3 · Your account

You are responsible for your account credentials and for everything done through your account. One person (or one business) per account. Tell us promptly at the address in section 18 if you believe your account has been compromised.

Accounts follow a lifecycle: new accounts verify an email address, and an advisor reviews new sellers before their first ad appears publicly. We may keep an account in review, or decline it, where verification cannot be completed. We never use SMS for any of this.

4 · Truthful ads

An ad is a representation to your buyers. You agree that everything in your ads is true and current: you own the item (or are authorized to sell it), the photos are of the actual item, the condition and facts are accurate, and the price is the price. Stock photos presented as the item, concealed defects, odometer or document fraud, and bait pricing are grounds for immediate removal and, where the law requires, referral to authorities.

When an ad no longer stands — the item went, the role was filled, the offer closed — take it down promptly or let it run out.

5 · Prohibited items & conduct

You agree not to post ads for, or engage in:

  • anything illegal to sell or possess in your jurisdiction — weapons, drugs, wildlife and wildlife products, stolen goods, counterfeit items;
  • items requiring licenses you do not hold (pharmaceuticals, regulated chemicals, financial products);
  • adult services, human or animal exploitation of any kind;
  • advance-fee schemes, courier-fee scams, or off-platform payment lures;
  • harassment of any member, on or off the platform;
  • scraping, harvesting or republishing ads or member data;
  • posting contact details inside ad text to bypass the vault (we scrub these);
  • probing, disrupting or circumventing the Service's security or privacy controls.

We may investigate suspected violations and take any proportionate action, from a warning to permanent removal.

6 · Advisor review

Every ad — and every edit to a live ad — goes through review before appearing publicly: an automated screen checks it against the prohibited-items list and known fraud patterns, and a human advisor then reads it and makes the decision. The automated screen only ever informs the human; it does not approve or reject on its own. The review checks that the ad reads true and complies with these terms; it is a good-faith screen, not a guarantee. Verification marks reflect our advisors' assessment at the time of review — they cannot substitute for your own inspection of an item and the checks careful buyers make before paying.

Paid visibility (boosts, featured, urgent) affects where an ad appears — never whether it passes review, and never the advisor mark.

7 · Your contact details

Your contact details are held on your account and none of them appear anywhere until you tick that channel in Settings. Whatever you tick is printed on your ads in public, where anyone at all can read it — that is what a classified ad is for, and you should treat anything you publish as permanently public. Untick a channel and it comes off each ad the next time that ad is saved.

We publish nothing you did not tick, we never sell or rent your details, and we never send SMS. What we collect and why is set out in the privacy policy. Using contact details you found here for anything other than responding to that ad — bulk marketing, harassment, scraping or passing them on — is a serious violation of these terms.

8 · What happens after contact

Everything after a buyer makes contact happens between those two people and nowhere near us: you inspect, you agree terms, you pay, you hand over. We provide the listing and the review, and nothing else. We carry no messages between members, take no custody of items or money, are not an escrow or payment service between members, and keep no record of what you agree. Follow the meet-safe rules: meet in public, inspect before paying, never pay in advance.

9 · Credits & payments

Browsing, searching, filtering, favourites and saved searches are free, and a buyer is never charged for anything at all. Publishing is what costs: where paid plans are enabled you choose a plan before the ad goes live, the price is shown at checkout, and the ad runs for that plan's term and then comes down. A seller may also buy optional extras metered in credits at the prices shown before you confirm: visibility for an ad they have already published (an urgent badge, a boost, or featured placement), or an AI-drafted title and description in the composer, generated only from what the seller writes and editable before submission. Nothing here buys advisor approval. Payments are processed by our payment partner Stripe; we do not store your card details.

Credits are a prepaid license to use premium features. They are not money, carry no cash value, and cannot be transferred between accounts.

10 · Refunds

A payment charged in error, or a credit deducted for an action that failed to deliver (for example, a boost debited without the boost being applied), will be re-credited or refunded — write to us at the address in section 18 within 30 days. Beyond that, purchased credits are non-refundable once spent; unspent credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase if you have spent none of that purchase. If we terminate your account for violating these terms, remaining credits are forfeit. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

11 · Ad Partners

Ad Partners on Adzmonster are independent sellers and brokers, not our employees or agents. We verify their identity and practice through the same advisor process, but we are not part of any dealing that follows: a partner's ads carry the partner's own contact details, and the selling arrangement — its fee, terms and outcome — is between you and the partner, and should be agreed before the handover. Partners additionally agree to represent only items whose owners have consented, and to honor the platform's privacy rules with any member data they handle.

12 · Your content

You own what you post — your ads and photos. You grant us a limited, revocable license to host, display and process that content solely to operate the Service (including showing your public ads to visitors, generating previews and posters, and our advisors reviewing content). We never use your content for third-party advertising, and deleting your account ends this license except where the law requires brief retention.

13 · Termination

You can take down ads or delete your account at any time from your settings — deletion removes your ads, vault and photos as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, put other members at risk, or where required by law. Where practical and lawful, we will tell you why.

14 · Disclaimers

We provide the Service with care, but “as is”: we do not guarantee that your item will sell, that any ad is accurate beyond our good-faith review, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Price Pulse compares an ad with other ads currently on Adzmonster; it draws on no market data of any kind and is neither a valuation nor a statement of what anything is worth. Buying decisions are yours — inspect, verify documents, and pay only for what you have seen.

15 · Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts of members, Ad Partners or third parties — including anything that happens between people who found each other through an ad. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for fraud, or for rights granted by consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

16 · Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States and subject to the state and federal courts located in Delaware. Mandatory consumer protections of the place you live remain unaffected.

17 · Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we will give notice — on the site or by email — before they take effect, and the “last updated” date above always tells you the current version. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

18 · Contact

Questions about these terms: [email protected], or the contact form.
